Born and raised in Edmonton and a proud graduate of Edmonton Catholic Schools, Sandra Palazzo’s commitment to Catholic education runs deep. With over four decades of experience in the field, she began her career with Edmonton Catholic Schools in 1986 as a teacher, later serving as a department head and administrator. Her time in these roles allowed her to develop a strong foundation in pedagogy and curriculum, as well as a deep understanding of the importance of collaboration to ensure student success.

Sandra’s leadership extends beyond the classroom walls. In 2014, Sandra joined Alberta Education as a Senior Manager for Alberta Accredited International Schools, where she gained valuable insights into educational policy and system-level decision-making. Today, she draws on this extensive experience in her role as Trustee, where she continues to champion excellence in education and advocate for publicly funded Catholic education across Alberta.

Sandra’s leadership extends beyond her professional career. She has served on Parish and Pastoral Councils with the Catholic Archdiocese of Edmonton, chaired numerous school and community advisory councils, and remains an active member of the Catholic Women’s League.

A lifelong Edmontonian, Sandra is married and a proud mother of three children, all of whom are graduates of Edmonton Catholic Schools. Deeply committed to strengthening the ties between schools, families, and the broader community, Sandra approaches her work as Trustee with humility and gratitude, striving to govern responsibly and keep students and staff at the heart of every decision.
