New Riders
To access yellow bus service in Edmonton Catholic Schools, students who meet the eligibility criteria must complete a Transportation Application form (see below).
You must complete a form for each child if you have more than one child.
Under the Education Act, students are eligible for transportation if the address provided is within the following guidelines:
- Kindergarten to Grade 6: At least 1.6 km or more from their designated school
- Grades 7-12: At least 2 km or more from their designated school
Due to high demand, processing takes approximately three weeks, with requests handled in the order received.

Current Riders
If a student already uses transportation services, a new application is NOT needed unless:
- Their address changes
- They transfer to a different school
Families can apply, change, or cancel bus service at any time during the school year.

This School Year (2026-2027)
If a student already uses transportation services, you don't need to submit a new application for next year.
Only apply for bus service if:
- requesting bus service for the first time
- moving to a new address
- changing schools
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS:
Submit an application by June 1, 2026 to have bus service in place for the first day of school. Any applications received after this date will still be processed, however, the start date cannot be guaranteed.
- Regular bus service will begin on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 (first day of school)
- Kindergarten Noon Hour service will begin on Friday, September 11, 2026 (please note: Noon Hour service is not available for Staggered Entry dates prior to September 11th)
- Year-Round Schools: bus service will begin on Monday, August 17, 2026
Bus service no longer required:
If you know bus service will not be required for the next school year, please fill out a cancellation form below to avoid any future bus service charges.
