| Edmonton Catholic School District’s Science Academies offer students enhanced learning opportunities in the various fields associated with Science. Through learning activities such as Robotics, Rocketry, Science Fairs and Science Olympics students are encouraged to participate in hands-on Science. By employing a variety of educational experiences in Science related areas, students learn to apply Science to their personal lives, appreciate the role Science plays in every aspect of their lives and to consider various careers in areas associated with Science. Partnerships with organizations such as APEGA (Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta) and Telus World of Science allow the Science Academies to develop programming that goes beyond the classroom experience of Science and take the students into the world around them to experience what they have learned.
