Archbishop Romero High School is situated in the
Callingwood community right beside the Jamie Platz
YMCA and the Callingwood Arenas. It is across the
street from a diverse shopping area. The school
serves high school students who live south of 87th
Avenue to the river and west of 149th Street to the
city limits.

Our Mission
Our goal is one of meeting the varied needs of students
in the school community: academic, spiritual,
social, and physical. All courses will include a collaborative
student-centred component to promote team
building and problem-solving. As each student has
gifts our goal is to foster those gifts to promote success and personal growth. We want all students to
feel that they are part of a community.
Extracurricular Activities

Programs
Varied programs to serve the needs of students living
in the community include athletics (a large gym and fitness
centre), music, art, drama, broad CTS offerings
(technology, food studies, woodworking, welding, automotives)
as well as a strong academic program to challenge
the gifted and to promote success for all students.
The school has numerous clubs and activities to
promote the development of life skills to encourage
lifelong activities and interests.
