OWOC houses several wrap around services that provide additional support to our schools, our students and families.

Information Handbill

These services include, but are not limited to:

• Welcomes and registers students and families new to Canada

• Intercultural Services - support to families and schools in first language

• English as a second Language - programming and support for students, teachers and schools

• Student Assessment for English Language Learning Programming

• Parent Information Sessions

• International Student Program & Services. International marketing, recruitment and placement of students in the District. Program support for International students and participating schools

• File Integrity and Document Monitoring – training and support to schools for ensuring updated Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) documents are maintained for funding eligibility and entitlement

• LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) – English language instruction for Permanent Residents and refugees is offered to promote integration, settlement and selfsufficiency in Canada

• Care for Newcomer Children – child care for the preschool children of parents who are participating in the LINC program

• Mosaics Early Learning Centre (Genesis Early Learning) - offers a variety of family programming for ECSD 100 Voices and Kindergarten students as well as LINC families and surrounding communities

• The Schools as Community Hubs - academic learning opportunities during out of school time for children, youth and families of that school and the surrounding neighborhoods
