We welcome you to our schools!
We are the fourth largest school district in Alberta serving 32,000 students
in 84 schools. We offer a unique education experience for all our students,
we provide small class size with a focus on individual achievement, and we
provide a safe and secure learning environment. Our programs are tailored to
help new International students in all aspects of their learning.
Our International students are welcomed and supported by our teachers, classmates, and other school and district staff.
Our high quality education, including a strong English as a Second Language program, will help to prepare International students for post-secondary studies at the university or college of their choice anywhere in North America.
Superintendent's Message:
For many years, Edmonton Catholic Schools has provided opportunities
for students around the world to engage in an exciting experience:
combining a first-rate Catholic education with travel, and
a chance to live the Canadian culture.
We have over 32,000 students who are eager to make new friends
with their International classmates. We are sensitive to the
needs of International students and will assist them in adjusting
to their new situation. Edmonton Catholic Schools' staff ensures
that all students are able to learn, participate, and succeed
in a faith-based environment. Our graduates are recognized
at universities and colleges across North America and around
the world.
Students who come to Edmonton Catholic Schools have many
advantages. Edmonton is safe, clean, culturally diverse, and
beautiful. We are fortunate to have four distinct seasons
and enjoy sporting and cultural events year round.
