Edmonton Catholic Schools is the first district in Canada to offer
all three International Baccalaureate Programmes including:
- Primary Years Programme: grades K to 6
- Middle Years Programme: grades 7 to 10
- Diploma Programme: grades 11 and 12
The International
Baccalaureate Primary Years & Middle Years Programmes  are
for all students.
The programmes cultivate intercultural awareness, holistic knowledge and communication skills within a dimension of Catholic education. The IB Programmes focuses on the development of the whole child while meeting children's academic, social, physical, emotional, and cultural needs.
They offer a comprehensive and balanced curricula that dovetails with the Alberta Education curriculum. IB students become critical and compassionate thinkers, informed participants in our global community, and responsible citizens.
